Opps, I nearly forgot to provide a full report: Sea state: mild, icy green in colour Sail status: spinnaker currently up (and down and up . . .) Boat speed: variable, anywhere from 7- 10 knots Sea creatures: mostly sea biords, sma;ll redjellyfish, plankton,
AtlanticWhite Sided Dolphins, Right Whales (distinctive heart-shaped
spouts only spotted) Cloud cover: 2 out of 8,forecasted cyclone apparently avoided but the
wind is bitingly cold Number of layers of clothes: day - 7, night - 8 ( and 3 hats and 1 neck
buff); World's biggest sleeping bag currently sports all 3 layers (mind
you, I am from California, not everyone else has so many coverings!) Not
sure why I bothered with sunscreen today as no skin was exposed! Total Icebreaker number: 1800 with capacity for an additional 510 Bunk status: currently in 5P (upper mid port), slightly gimbled, mild
rolling but no bumps Smell factor: although skipped mother watch shower, due to cold weather,
Personal Smell Factor is 2 out of 10 but Boat Smell Factor is hovering
around 6 due to skipper's shoes; haven't brushed my hair since
we left port. Monkey Butt Status: thankfully, at bay. Relatively dry leg, just
condensation inside the boat and at night on the deck Miles to go: 161 nm (which hopefully means only 2more night watches and
no 'death watch' (0200-0500) Mental Status: revived after good mother watch sleep(actual;ly slept
through the night), worn down by the unrelenting cold and the neverending
and completely unnecessary boat politics/hipocrisy, more importantly,
MIssing my family (incl. dog), and crew that are supposed to be on board
at the mo: Sir Charles, Dan Bauer and Clive Quote of the Day: Sheldon: 'Wow, this chicken curry doesn't need any hot
sauce at all, it's already hot'; Matrix: 'You didn't add hot sauce to it?
You add hot sauceto everything'; Sheldon: 'No, I only added Rooster
Sauce (Sricha Hot Chili Sauce).'
